This new section will show how we are perceived by the public at large, not just in Germany but elsewhere too.  Our first report is below.  It would be nice to hear your comments.  You can have comments published anonymously if you wish.

The item below requires some serious contemplation.  I have no idea how the Bund für echte Demokratie e.V. came to their conclusions, but there you are, it seems many others have found the culprits out too, not just yours truly.

 The text alongside the photograph of John Woodhouse says "Nützliche Idioten.  Jeder belügt und betrügt die anderen und ist doch selbst der Belogene und Betrogene".  This loosely translated means "Useful Idiots.  Everyone is lying to and deceiving the other and is in fact himself the one being lied to and deceived"  I WONDER HOW THESE PEOPLE GOT SUCH ACCURATE INFORMATION  ABOUT OUR GRAND LODGE.  It certainly wasn't from me, but I will be accused of doing so in any case.

The photograph is on the cover of a Magazine issued by this organisation whose name in English is "Registered Association for Real Democracy".  In spite of the fact that they are of a somewhat radical nature, it is strangely disturbing that such a small, almost insignificant Grand Lodge of 16 lodges and probably less than 200 active members should find itself highlighted as being full of lies and deception.  It reminds me of my letter of December 2005  It is evident that the arrogance which jumps out from this photograph was the reason for it being used.  A picture tells a thousand stories.

It is not down to any kind of malice  towards the Grand Lodge that we reprint this cover here.  It is important that our leadership does everything it can to ensure  that our organisation is seen in a good light by the public at large.  Presently there are no such initiatives eminating from our GL, surely signifying that they believe everything is rosy in the garden?  If you agree or disagree drop us a line and let us know.  You are not required to give your name if you do not want to.  We will respect your privacy.  

Strangely enough there are no comparative articles about any of the 4 Partner Grand Lodges.  That surely tells you something?    Although the people who tend to publish this kind of sensationalism stuff are to be considered radical,  they are not stupid.        

Government's Checking up?  July 2009

It might seem a bit outrageous to suggest that the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany has caught the attention of HM Government but it seems that this is the case.

With so many senior NCO's and a certain amount of officers becoming Masons in the GL and therefore paying subscriptions to belong to an organisation that is so obviously abusing the membership by misappropriating the funds available as well as abusing the military connection of many members by obtaining subsidised or free transport, catering, postage services, tax-free purchases and so on, there has been much concern shown in MOD circles.  By offering these soldiers access to an organisation which many new members believe it to be something it isn't and join for the "right" reasons and then abusing their allegiance by promising promotion within Masonry they could never ever hope for in a proper GL, they are effectively blackmailing these members into a continuation of financing the many European trips which a handful of the so-called leaders of the GL regularly embark on.  The reason for such trips is usually given as "to represent the members of the GL" but in truth these travels are just a very expensive junket allowing the leaders to persue an ego lead existence with multitudeous accolades handed out in the various countries they travel to, in return for standing up and telling their audience what a wonderful organisation the Grand Lodge of British Freemasons in Germany is-which of course it isn't!

.  It is a classic case of a microcosm of what happened in the DDR(East Germany) for 40 years!

It will be very interesting to see what comes out of all of the attention the GL is getting in London!  It obviously cannot have escaped the interest of the United Grand Lodge of England either.  I know that many questions are being asked about the contents of this website and how authentic certain documents are!
